Devil’s Deal: US-Backed Syrian Rebels Already Signed Pact with ISIS Prior to Haines Beheading

Source: 21stcenturywire.com
While Washington considers appropriating half a billion in funds to the Syrian rebels, we now learn that opposition groups the Free Syrian Army (FSA) and al Qaeda affiliate ‘al Nusra Front’, have officially aligned themselves with ISIS…Despite grand words by US President Obama and British PM David Cameron, here’s what’s really behind their plan to bomb ISIS in Syria…In a report first appearing on Orient-News and other Middle East based news agencies, Syrian rebels or FSA, along with ISIS jihadists, have signed a non-aggression pact in the suburbs of Syria’s capital Damascus. The cease-fire deal brokered between so-called ‘moderate’ rebels and the black-clad Sunnis of the Islamic State, have agreed that Assad is their “principal enemy.”The non-aggression pact between rebels and jihadists came just as Washington and President Obama announced its grand strategy to ‘defeat ISIS in Iraq and Syria’. The Rebel-Terrorist deal was reportedly struck this past Friday, September 12th, in Syria, preceding the latest seemingly staged execution video released by ISIS.The anti-Assad Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, has reported that:“The two parties will respect a truce until a final solution is found and they promise not to attack each other because they consider the principal enemy to be the Nussayri (Assad) regime.”How will it be possible for Washington to vet the so-called “moderate rebels” in Syria, now that they have aligned efforts with ISIS?How can all these rebel and terrorist groups who share the same goal of regime change in Syria (along with Washington and its allies), be expected to now split and take sides to fight ISIS? The simple answer is: they won’t.So why are US political leaders and media so keen to hide this cooperation pact between Washington’s FSA rebels, al Nusra and ISIS? Because this was the plan all along…Remember this latest agreement between ISIS and the rebels should be looked at objectively for what it really is. In a NY Times piece from December of 2012, it outlines the morally bankrupt role played by the US in regards to supporting Syrian rebels who had received approval from the the terror ranks of Al Qaeda:“The lone Syrian rebel group with an explicit stamp of approval from Al Qaeda has become one of the uprising’s most effective fighting forces, posing a stark challenge to the United States and other countries that want to support the rebels but not Islamic extremists.”A key fact to consider, is that many of the Syrian rebels would have never gotten the approval of Al Qaeda without some of their factions being linked to extremism. The current non-aggression pact, comes after the Washington post revealed last week, that weapons sent to the so-called ‘moderate’ rebels in Syria, ended up in the hands of ISIS according to Conflict Armament Research:“The Islamic State has also captured “significant quantities” of U.S.-manufactured small arms and has employed them on the battlefield, researchers found.”“The new research suggests they have also amassed arms after overrunning the moderate Syrian rebels being supplied by the United States and other allied nations.”Incredibly, the suggested answer for Washington and its close friends, was to consider sending more arms to the rebel confab that was apparently at odds with ISIS – until last week. The reality is though, that the Islamic State fighters have come from very opposition linked groups the US has helped to arm in the first place. Now it appears, the two groups will be openly working together attempting to topple Assad and the Syrian government – which couldn’t be more perfect for the West and its allies.Dark PaymastersIn an another report from the CIA, as told by International Business Times, it has been stated that:“A new CIA assessment from May to June reported Thursday said the Islamic State could have up to 31,500 fighters in Iraq and Syria, the Associated Press reported.”The report continues, suggesting that ISIS recruiting has “stepped up.” Ironically, this report makes the rounds just as ISIS and the FSA, have agreed to work together in their newly minted non-aggression pact:“Before May, the number of fighters whose allegiance lies with the militant group formerly known as the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria was closer to 10,000, but ISIS has since stepped up its recruitment campaign. The new estimate also takes into account “greater battlefield activity, and additional intelligence,” CIA spokesman Ryan Trapani told the AP.”[...]Read the rest of the story: 21stcenturywire.com
