Is Azores Pyramid the Lost Island of Atlantis?
A sharp-eyed observer has emailed us with information regarding the report of a mysterious underwater formation in the Azores, west of Portugal. The Azores are volcanic islands "above what is known as a geological triple junction where the North American, Eurasian, and African tectonic plates meet".For the original article, see : Atlantis Discovered? There is an interesting connection being made using modern technology and records from the past.
Is this the location of Atlantis?
This map is that of Jesuit Priest Athanasius Kircher depicting the location and shape of Infula Atlantis, complete with volcano projections atop it.
His map is from Mundus Subterraneus, a book published in 1669. It is shown on Wikipedia here: http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Atlantis

Our source has found similar shapes in underwater formations of the Azores. Look at the mountain ridges - it’s pretty much an identical shape. How about that?
