Recent Kid Rock Speech Resembles Scene from Idiocracy

Kid Rock delivered an...interesting speech on Tuesday during a concert in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

In the speech, the aspiring politician blasted the KKK, welfare leeches, and deadbeat dads. Kid Rock also took a moment to pay homage to Jesus Christ, much to the delight of the crowd.

As Nathan Damigo pointed out on Twitter, Kid Rock's speech was comically similar to a scene from Idiocracy.

This degree of theatricality reveals quite a bit about the current state of American politics. At this point, the average guy is so fed up with career politicians that almost any outsider has a chance to win. Moreover, Trump has demonstrated how to win the White working class, a crucial demographic – particularly in Michigan. Kid Rock appears to be following in Trump's footsteps, only with a more over-the-top approach. It is for these reasons that Kid Rock, despite his absurdities, might actually win the Senate race.

And if he does win, he will be the first Senator ever to have been arrested for brawling at a Waffle House.
