The Guardian's Ben Jacobs Lies About Assault on GOP Candidate Greg Gianforte

Editor’s note: Even if the “body-slam” allegations Ben Jacobs levelled against Greg Gianforte were taken at face value, Jacobs still comes across as a whinging, colluding, dishonest and effete sissy. To add insult to phantom injury, Gianforte appears to be the righteous one in this whole contrived affair. Jacobs also neglected to mention his own aggressive behaviour in order to play the victim. It is little wonder that the MSM is held in such contempt. Please enjoy the absurdity of this drama as it plays out in an otherwise apocalyptic news cycle. 

A former minion for the Iowa Democratic Party now operating as a Guardian reporter, Ben Jacobs, assaulted Montana Republican House candidate Greg Gianforte on Wednesday. Jacobs has a history of opposing his political opponents’ freedom of speech, as GotNews reported in October.

Gianforte is competing against Democratic candidate Rob Quist for a House seat that opened up after President Donald J. Trump appointed Ryan Zinke to be secretary of the interior. The special election is Thursday.

A statement about Jacobs’ assault from Greg for Montana campaign spokesperson Shane Scanlon reads:

Tonight, as Greg was giving a separate interview in a private office, The Guardian’s Ben Jacobs entered the office without permission, aggressively shoved a recorder in Greg’s face, and began asking badgering questions. Jacobs was asked to leave. After asking Jacobs to lower the recorder, Jacobs declined. Greg then attempted to grab the phone that was pushed in his face. Jacobs then grabbed Greg’s wrist, and spun away from Greg, pushing them both to the ground. It’s unfortunate that this aggressive behavior from a liberal journalist created this scene at our campaign volunteer BBQ.

As previously reported, Jacobs took to Twitter to claim, instead, that Gianforte assaulted him.

Unfortunately for Jacobs, eyewitnesses to his unprovoked aggression are already calling him out. One witness stated that the incident "Did not happen. I was there. There was a disagreement because the reporter was being extremely aggressive. There was no body slam. None. Period."
