7 killed, more than 10 injured in Pakistan train blast

Seven persons on board Quetta- bound Jaffar Express train were killed on Monday in a remote control bomb blast on a railway track in Pakistan’s restive Balochistan province.
The train, which departed from Rawalpindi, was passing through Dera Murad Jamali district of the restive Balochistan province when the blast occurred.
Media reports had earlier suggested that it was a suicide attack but state-run Radio Pakistan said it was a remote control bomb blast.
More than 10 people were also injured when five bogies of the train were derailed.
Security personnel reached the site and cordoned off the area as a probe into the incident went underway.
Minister for Railways Khawaja Saad Rafiq has termed the attack on Jaffar Express as a cowardice and barbaric act.
