Israeli Army Radio stated that the plane was shot down over the Golan Heights, but may have crashed on the Syrian-held side of the frontier, Reuters reports.
A video has appeared on Twitter, purporting to show the moment the Sukhoi jet was intercepted by Israeli missiles. RT hasn't yet been able to verify the footage.
