Second Blackout in India Cuts Power to 670 Million People

The power grids, in the northern and eastern parts of the country, which supply electricity to half of India’s 1.2 billion people, collapsed on Tuesday.
The epic blackout has trapped coal miners, left train passengers stranded, and left hospitals with no power amidst the sweltering heat and humidity of India’s summer.
